Gold Coast Tourism (GCT) is a not-for-profit membership-based, destination marketing organisation that builds the Gold Coast visitor economy by promoting the city as a leisure and business event destination. DGC represents a membership base of over 500 accommodation venues, attractions, tour operators, restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues, transport providers and professional support services. DGC works on behalf of approximately 26,000 commercial businesses who fund DGC’s operations through a tourism levy. THE ROLE – MANAGER INTERNATIONAL MARKETING
International Marketing is responsible for helping to develop DGC’s international marketing strategy in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders. The role leads a small team to implement, measure and report on each of the organisation’s international marketing activities outlined in the international marketing strategy. The role supports the growth of Gold Coast’s tourism economy through generating visitor demand and increasing visitor revenue, length of stay and visitor numbers. The Manager International Marketing provides leadership, accountability, business planning and line management to five (5) FTEs. The role reports to DGC’s Executive Director Marketing. As a key member of DGC’s Management team, the Manager International Marketing represents the company at a senior-level with key organisational stakeholders and industry counterparts. DGC has a strong focus on delivery of and accountability for, exceptional business development and marketing outcomes and the Manager International Marketing periodically reports against key performance metrics, including through formal presentations.
