AACB Staff Scholarship

AACB is committed to the recognition and encouragement of excellence. This scholarship is designed to offer bureau staff an opportunity to demonstrate their professional commitment, delivery of high quality service and dedication to the business events industry.

The successful applicant will receive a $5,000 cash grant and free international return flights to undertake a proposed project of career development that brings benefit to their bureau and AACB members.

The application process requires:

  • CEO nomination
  • A research project proposal focused on business events that supports your career professionalism and brings benefit to your bureau and AACB members across Australia. The project could incorporate an industry event, academic course or work placement – in Australia or offshore.
  • Current CV verified by your manager/CEO
  • Application form

Eligible applicants must be employed by an AACB member in a permanent capacity for a period of at least 12 months by the submission deadline.

Applications close on 5pm AEST, 27 July 2018

AACB Staff Scholarship 2017/18 Winner

Leah Muir, Business Development Manager at Business Events Tasmania has been awarded the prestigious AACB Staff Scholarship for 2017/18. The Scholarship was announced at the 2017 AACB Annual Conference AIME Gala Dinner.

With her winning proposal to gain enhanced knowledge of destination marketing software and customer relationship management systems for effective implementation within convention bureaux, Leah is set to travel to the United States to attend the Simpleview Summit 2018 in Arizona.
