AACB's Staff Scholarship for 2020/21 was modified to support crisis recovery that considers the future of Australia’s business events industry.
The scholarship has been further modified to support convention bureaux staff with two successful applicants now each receiving a $3,300 cash grant to undertake a proposed project of career development that brings benefit to their bureau and AACB members.
Project nominations need to be business events focused and relevant to crisis recovery. It should incorporate recovery of the domestic and/or international business events markets in Australia and address recovery in the short, medium and long term.

To achieve the outcomes of your project, AACB supports undergoing professional development, registration of events, access to research and support that may be required from other services.
Eligible applicants must be employed by an AACB member, within a convention bureau or business events department.

Applicants agree by submitting an application that as part of the judging process, they may be required for a videoconference interview by the judging panel.
